My Most Favorite SLP Session – Relaxed Lake Norman Family Photography

I love my job.

I get to earn a living by spending time with some of the most special children.  I have the opportunity to get to know each of their unique personalities… what makes them giggle… what scares them… what relaxes them and calms them down (maybe a familiar game or a loving squeeze from mommy or daddy).

I get the honor of being trusted by mommy and daddy to capture all of their emotions and personalities so that they will always have a visual reminder of these special moments that I know pass us parents by way WAY too quickly.

I have loved photographing each of your precious little kiddos over the years… all for various reasons.  But, I have to say that this particular session may have been the most special of all.

Meet Eleanor.

Relaxed Huntersville Family Portraits

Eleanor’s family has been special friends of ours for a long time.  They are those friends who always make everyone feel welcome and comfortable… who you know would do anything for you, making you want to bend over backwards to try to scratch the surface to repay their sweet gestures.  Reese and Eleanor’s big brother, Gavin, are 1 week apart in age… we’ve already pre-arranged their marriage.  🙂

They have also been an amazing example of strength, patience and faith over the past few years.  They just brought sweet Eleanor home from Korea after an adoption process lasting 1,231 days!  I’m not sure how they did it, but they did.  And, she is home… in every sense of the word… so obviously exactly where she should be.  With a big, beautiful, loving personality shining through in everything that she does.

I am so grateful that our friends trusted me with Eleanor’s first portraits, and I am thrilled that we were able to capture a glimpse into this girl’s sweet personality.

I caught this last one as I was leaving… I think it was her way of saying, “Thanks for the good times, Stacey.  It’s been real.  Time for lunch.”  🙂  We love you already, sweet girl… and your mommy, daddy and big brother too.
